Counseling Services

In counseling, we will work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You set the pace, and nothing is forced. The goal isn’t to “fix” you - it’s to support you in understanding yourself, building resilience, and moving toward the life you want.

Every person’s journey is different, and counseling provides you with a trained professional to walk alongside you as you explore your journey forward.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT is a type of psychotherapy that helps people identify and change negative patterns of thinking and behavior. It’s based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected - so if you change the way you think, you can change the way you feel and act.

Goal-oriented: Focuses on solving specific problems.

Structured: Sessions follow a clear structure, often with homework or practice exercises.

Present-focused: Emphasizes current issues rather than delving deeply into past experiences.

Collaborative: Working together to set goals and track progress.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the process of paying full attention to the present moment - on purpose and without judgement. It means noticing what’s happening right now: your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and surroundings, without trying to change or avoid anything.

Instead of getting caught up in worries about the past or future, mindfulness helps you stay grounded in the here and now.

The goal is to notice what’s there and return your focus gently when it wanders.

A Different Kind of Therapy Space

Therapy doesn’t have to look one way.

Sometimes it’s conversation-talking things through, making sense of patterns, and figuring out what actually works in your life. Sometimes it’s problem-solving. Sometimes it’s sitting with something that doesn’t yet have clear answers, and sometimes it is through laughter and moments of lightheartedness.

And sometimes, when words fall short, we bring in something different - writing, drawing, or simple creative practices to help you access thoughts and feelings in another way.

I approach therapy as a shared space. Not something done to you, but something we build together. A place where you can be real, ask questions, feel uncertain, and explore without pressure.

This is therapy that meets you where you are-and evolves as you do.
